Walking
From the center of Norfolk, head south on 1st Street towards Norfolk Avenue. Continue straight on Norfolk Avenue until you reach 1st Street. Turn left onto 1st Street, which will lead you to the intersection with Norfolk Avenue. Cross the intersection and continue onto 1st Street, where you'll find the Norfolk City Transit bus stop. Take the bus heading to Jefferson Avenue. Get off at the stop nearest to Jefferson Avenue. From there, walk a few blocks south on Jefferson Avenue until you reach Newport News Park at 13560 Jefferson Ave.

Start at the Norfolk Transit Center located at 2002 Market Lane. Board the bus route that heads towards Jefferson Avenue. Stay on the bus for approximately 15-20 minutes. Make sure to check the schedule for the latest times. Once you reach the Newport News Park stop, disembark and walk a short distance straight ahead to the park entrance at 13560 Jefferson Ave.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from downtown Norfolk. Head east on Norfolk Avenue and continue until you reach 1st Street. Turn left on 1st Street and follow it to the bus stop where you can catch the bus to Jefferson Avenue. Alternatively, you can bike along the designated bike lanes that lead towards Newport News Park. It's about a 30-minute bike ride, and you can park your bike near the entrance of the park.
