Getting There

  • Public Transit

    If you are in downtown Omaha, head to the nearest bus stop and take Metro Transit bus route 2 (the #2 bus) heading south. Stay on the bus for about 20-30 minutes until you reach the stop at 24th Street and Q Street. From there, transfer to bus route 14 (the #14 bus) towards South Omaha. Ride the #14 bus for about 10 minutes until you reach the stop at 23rd and B Street. Once you get off, walk east on B Street for a short distance until you arrive at the Omaha Zoo, where Asian Highlands is located. The total trip should take you approximately 40-50 minutes.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, start from downtown Omaha and head south on the Riverfront Trail, which will take you along the Missouri River. Continue on the trail until you reach the intersection with 10th Street. Turn left onto 10th Street and continue south until you reach the intersection with Q Street. Turn right onto Q Street and head west until you reach 20th Street. Turn left onto 20th Street and continue south until you see signs for the Omaha Zoo. Asian Highlands is located within the zoo. The biking route may take around 30-40 minutes depending on your speed.

    For an adventurous walk, start from the Old Market area in downtown Omaha. Begin walking south on 11th Street, then turn left onto Howard Street and continue until you reach 20th Street. Turn right on 20th Street and head south until you reach Q Street. Turn left onto Q Street and walk east until you reach the entrance of the Omaha Zoo. Asian Highlands is inside the zoo. This walk will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
