Car
If you are driving, head east on Main Street from the center of Pine Ridge. Continue for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 27. Turn left onto Highway 27 and continue north for approximately 8 miles. You will pass through the scenic landscape of the Pine Ridge Reservation. After 8 miles, take a right turn onto Highway 20. Continue on Highway 20 for about 25 miles until you reach Chadron, Nebraska. As you enter Chadron, look for the signs directing you to Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center, located at 1101 Main Street (the center will be on your left).
