From central Sandhills, head northeast on NE-2. Continue for about 40 miles until you reach the junction with US-20. Turn left onto US-20 East. Drive for approximately 30 miles. The Niobrara National Scenic River Visitor Center will be located on your left at 214 US-20, Valentine, NE 69201. Look for the visitor center sign, and there is parking available on-site.

If you are using public transportation, you can take the Sandhills Shuttle service, which operates routes throughout the Sandhills area. Check the schedule and book your ride to Valentine, NE. Once in Valentine, you may need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach the visitor center, as it is about 3 miles from the town center. Expect to pay approximately $10-15 for the taxi ride.

For the adventurous, consider biking from nearby locations in Sandhills. From the town of Valentine, you can bike along US-20. The ride is approximately 3 miles and will take you directly to the Niobrara National Scenic River Visitor Center. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow all traffic laws.
