If you're driving from the center of Sandhills, head east on NE-2 E. Continue for approximately 60 miles until you reach the junction with I-80. Merge onto I-80 E. After about 70 miles, take exit 420 for NE-71 N toward Kimball. Continue on NE-71 N for about 30 miles, then turn left onto Co Rd G. Follow Co Rd G for about 10 miles until you arrive at Summit Lake State Recreation Area, located at 2787 Co Rd G, Tekamah, NE 68061. There is no entry fee for the recreation area.
