Getting There

• Bus

  To reach the starting point of the Annapurna Circuit Trek in Muktinath, you can take a bus from Pokhara. Head to the bus station in Pokhara and look for buses heading to Jomsom or Muktinath. The ride typically takes around 8-10 hours. Ensure to check the schedule in advance, as buses may not run frequently. The fare is usually around NPR 1,500 to NPR 2,500.

• Private Vehicle

  If you prefer a more comfortable journey, you can hire a private vehicle from Pokhara to Muktinath. This option allows more flexibility in terms of stops along the way. The drive will take approximately 7-9 hours depending on road conditions, and you can expect to pay between NPR 10,000 to NPR 15,000 for the service.

• Trekking

  If you are already on the Annapurna Circuit, you can trek to Muktinath. From Jomsom, it takes about 5-7 hours of walking, following a well-marked trail. Ensure you are well-prepared with adequate clothing, food, and water for the trek. This method is ideal if you want to enjoy the scenic views and experience local culture.

• Helicopter

  For a quicker option, you can book a helicopter ride from Pokhara to Muktinath. This is the most expensive option but provides breathtaking views of the Annapurna range. The flight takes around 30 minutes. Prices can range from NPR 20,000 to NPR 30,000 per person depending on the season and demand.
