From the center of Nagarkot, head south on the main road (Nagarkot to Bhaktapur road). Follow signs pointing towards Godawari. After about a 30-minute walk, you will reach the entrance to Godawari. Continue walking straight along the road, and you will find various local signs indicating the direction towards Godawari.

Hiking

For a more adventurous route, take the hiking trail that leads from Nagarkot to Godawari. Start at the Nagarkot Viewpoint and follow the marked trail heading downwards. The hike takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Enjoy the scenic views along the way. Once you reach the valley, follow the path towards Godawari which is a small town with clear signs.

Local Bus

Although you mentioned not traveling by car, you can take a local bus from Nagarkot to Godawari. Head to the nearest bus stop in Nagarkot and look for a bus heading towards Bhaktapur. Inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at Godawari. The ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Godawari bus stop, you can explore the area on foot.
