Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head towards Bhaktapur from Kathmandu. The journey takes around 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic. Follow the signs to Bhaktapur and enter through the main entrance of Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Once inside the Square, you will see the 55 Window Palace directly ahead. There is limited parking available near the entrance, so plan to arrive early to secure a spot.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach the 55 Window Palace using public transportation, take a bus from Kathmandu to Bhaktapur. Buses regularly depart from the New Bus Park in Kathmandu. The fare is typically around NPR 30-50. Once you arrive at Bhaktapur, you can walk to Durbar Square, which is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs to Durbar Square, and you will find the 55 Window Palace at the center of the square.

• Taxi

  For a more comfortable and direct route, consider taking a taxi from your location in Bagmati Zone to Bhaktapur. The taxi fare from Kathmandu to Bhaktapur usually ranges between NPR 1000 to NPR 1500. Once you arrive at Durbar Square, the 55 Window Palace will be easily visible. Ensure to negotiate the fare or request the meter be used before starting your journey.

• Rickshaw

  In Bhaktapur, you can opt for a cycle rickshaw if you are already within the city. The fare for a rickshaw ride from nearby locations to Durbar Square is usually around NPR 100-200. Just inform the rickshaw driver that you want to go to Durbar Square, and they will take you there directly to the 55 Window Palace.
