If you are driving, start from Kathmandu and head east on the Araniko Highway (also known as the Kathmandu-Bhaktapur Road). After approximately 12 kilometers, take the exit towards Bhaktapur. Continue straight until you reach Madhyapur Thimi Municipality. Look for Pancha Kanya Devi Marg and turn onto it. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach Gankhu. The landmark is on your left. Parking may be available along the road.

To reach Gankhu Kuwa by public bus, start at the Ratna Park Bus Station in Kathmandu. Take a bus heading towards Bhaktapur. The fare is usually around NPR 50-100, depending on the bus type. Once you arrive at Bhaktapur, you can take a local bus or a microbus to Madhyapur Thimi; these usually cost around NPR 20-30. Get off at the stop nearest to Pancha Kanya Devi Marg. From there, it is a short walk to Gankhu Kuwa, approximately 1 kilometer away.

For a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Kathmandu. This is more expensive, with fares typically ranging from NPR 1,500 to NPR 2,500 depending on the negotiation and traffic conditions. The driver can take you straight to Gankhu Kuwa, and it should take about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.

If you're comfortable riding a motorbike, you can rent one in Kathmandu for around NPR 800-1,000 per day. Follow the same route as mentioned for cars, taking the Araniko Highway towards Bhaktapur. Once in Madhyapur Thimi, navigate to Pancha Kanya Devi Marg. Parking is generally available near the landmark.
