Walking
From Bhaktapur Durbar Square, head southeast towards the main entrance of the square. Exit the square and turn left onto Siddhikali Road. Continue straight until you reach the end of the road, where it intersects with the highway. Turn right onto the highway and walk for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by several local shops and eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for the Jawalakhel area signage.

If you are near the Bhaktapur Bus Park, exit the park and head south on the main road. Walk straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach a major intersection. At the intersection, take a slight left onto Jawalakhel Rd. Continue walking straight for about 500 meters, and you will see the Central Zoo on your right.

From the Bhaktapur Local Market, exit the market area and head southwest towards the main road. Turn left onto the main road and walk for approximately 1.2 kilometers. You will pass several local vendors and small shops. Once you reach the intersection with Jawalakhel Rd, turn right. The Central Zoo will be a short walk ahead on your left side.
