Walking
From Bhaktapur Durbar Square, head south towards the main road, Bhaktapur- Banepa Road. When you reach the main road, turn left and continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the bus stop for Chandragiri. Look for a local bus heading towards Chandragiri. The bus ride will take around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Chandragiri bus station, exit the bus and look for signs directing you to the Chandragiri Cable Car Station. It is a short walk of about 5-10 minutes uphill from the bus station. Follow the road signs, and you will reach the cable car station.

Local Bus
From Bhaktapur, proceed to the main bus station located near the Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Take a local bus that is headed for Chandragiri. The buses might not have a specific schedule, so be prepared to wait a bit. Once you’re on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride which takes approximately 30-40 minutes. When you reach the Chandragiri bus terminal, disembark and follow the signs leading to the Chandragiri Cable Car Station. It’s a short 5-10 minute walk uphill from the bus terminal to the cable car station.

Taxi
You can also opt for a taxi from Bhaktapur to Chandragiri. While taxis may not be as common in Bhaktapur, you can ask your hotel or local shops to help you find one. The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes depending on traffic. Request the driver to take you directly to the Chandragiri Cable Car Station. Once you arrive, you can proceed to purchase your tickets for the cable car ride.
