Walking
From Bhaktapur Durbar Square, head south towards the main street. Walk along the street until you reach the big intersection where you see a sign for the bus station on your left. Continue straight, passing by local shops and eateries. After about 15 minutes, you will reach a large roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit towards the Thamel area. Keep walking straight for approximately 20 minutes, and you will start to see signs for Thamel Marg. Once you reach Thamel Marg, the Mera Peak Climbing office will be on your right. The journey should take around 35-40 minutes.
Local Bus
From Bhaktapur Durbar Square, walk to the nearest local bus station located near the square. Look for a bus heading to Kathmandu; the fare is usually very affordable (around NPR 30-50). Board the bus and inform the conductor that you want to go to Thamel. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Kathmandu, get off at the Thamel bus stop. From there, walk straight down the main road until you reach Thamel Marg. The Mera Peak Climbing office is located on Thamel Marg on your right.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker and more comfortable option, you can hire a taxi. You can find taxis near Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Make sure to negotiate the fare before you get in (it should be around NPR 800-1000 to Thamel). The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes depending on the traffic conditions. Ask the driver to drop you off at Thamel Marg, and the Mera Peak Climbing office will be nearby.
