Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in Bhaktapur Durbar Square, start by facing the main entrance of the square. Exit the square and walk towards the east through the narrow streets. Keep an eye out for the signs pointing towards Nagarkot. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the main road. Take a left turn and walk along the road for about 30 minutes. You will pass by local shops and small eateries along the way. Continue straight until you reach a fork in the road. Here, take the right path which leads towards Nagarkot. You will see a gradual incline as you approach the hill. It should take you approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Nagarkot from Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

    You can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Bhaktapur. Start from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and head towards the east through the local streets. Once you reach the main road, turn left and cycle along the road for about 30 minutes. Be cautious of the uphill path as you get closer to Nagarkot. The ride will take about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your cycling speed. Enjoy the beautiful views along the way!
