Getting There

• Walking

  From Bhaktapur Durbar Square, head west towards the main road. Continue walking straight down the road until you reach the intersection with the highway. Turn left onto the highway and follow the signs to Kathmandu. After approximately 8 kilometers, you will arrive at the Thamel area in Kathmandu. Once in Thamel, keep an eye out for Thamel Marg, where Outdoor Himalayan Treks is located. It's a busy street, and the agency is well marked. The journey should take you about 1.5 to 2 hours on foot.

• Public Transport - Microbus

  From Bhaktapur Durbar Square, walk to the microbus station located near the main square. Look for the microbus heading towards Kathmandu. It will cost you a small fare, and the journey will take about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Kathmandu, ask the driver to drop you off in the Thamel area. From there, walk towards Thamel Marg, and Outdoor Himalayan Treks will be on this street. It is a well-known location among locals, so you can ask for directions if needed.

• Public Transport - Local Bus

  Head to the local bus station near Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Catch a bus that is heading towards Kathmandu. Buses are frequent and inexpensive. After about 30-45 minutes, get off at the Bus Park in Kathmandu. From there, take a short walk towards Thamel. You can ask locals for the direction to Thamel Marg, and once you reach Thamel, look for Outdoor Himalayan Treks. The walk from the Bus Park to Thamel should take about 15-20 minutes.
