Getting There

  • Walking

    Starting from Bhaktapur Durbar Square, head east towards the main entrance of the square. Exit the square and continue walking straight. You will pass the 55-Window Palace on your left. Keep walking straight until you reach the main road (Siddhikali Road). Turn left onto Siddhikali Road and continue walking until you reach the small roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the road leading towards the east. Follow this road for about 1 km, and you will see a sign for 'Shilu Mahadev - Phasi Dega' on your right. Follow the path indicated by the sign which leads uphill to the temple.

    If you are starting from the Bhaktapur Bus Park, exit the bus park and turn right onto the main street. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Siddhikali Road. Turn left at the intersection and continue walking on Siddhikali Road. After approximately 800 meters, you will reach the roundabout. Take the second exit and follow the road eastwards. Keep an eye out for the sign to 'Shilu Mahadev - Phasi Dega' on your right. Follow the path up the hill to the temple.

    From the Nyatapola Temple, head down the stairs towards the main road. When you reach the road, turn left and head towards the Siddhikali Road. Follow the sign up the path to reach the temple.
