After parking, it's a short walk to Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

To reach Bhaktapur Durbar Square via public transportation, head to the 'Kantipath' bus station in Kathmandu, where you can find buses heading to Bhaktapur. The cost for a one-way ticket is about 50 NPR. Buses run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes around 1 hour depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Bhaktapur, disembark at the main bus station. From there, it is a 15-minute walk to Durbar Square. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions.
Microbus
Another option is to take a microbus from Kathmandu to Bhaktapur. These microbuses can be found at various locations in the city, including 'Bagbazar' and 'New Road'. The fare is around 60 NPR, and the journey takes about 1 hour. After arriving in Bhaktapur, get off at the main bus stop and walk towards Durbar Square, which is about a 15-minute walk. Again, look for signs or ask locals for guidance.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct and private option, you can hire a taxi from Kathmandu to Bhaktapur. The fare typically ranges from 1,200 to 1,500 NPR depending on your negotiation skills and the taxi service. The ride takes around 30 minutes to 1 hour based on traffic conditions. Once you arrive at Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the taxi can drop you off nearby, and you can easily walk to the entrance of the square.
