If you are traveling by car from the nearest major town, Juphal, first head northeast on the Juphal-Phoksundo road. This well-maintained road will take you through beautiful landscapes and local villages. Continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the village of Phoksundo. From Phoksundo, follow the signs leading to Shey Phoksundo Lake, which is approximately an additional 3 kilometers away. There are parking spots available near the lake.

Public Transportation (Bus)
For those using public transportation, take a local bus from Juphal to Phoksundo. Buses typically depart in the morning and the journey takes around 1 to 1.5 hours, costing approximately NPR 200-300. Once you arrive in Phoksundo, you can either walk to the lake (about 3 kilometers) or hire a local taxi for around NPR 500 to take you directly to the lake's entrance.

If you prefer a more adventurous route, consider trekking from Phoksundo to Shey Phoksundo Lake. The trek is approximately 3 kilometers and takes about 1 hour. Follow the well-marked trail that leads through stunning landscapes. Ensure you wear proper trekking shoes as parts of the trail can be rocky.
