Getting There

  • Car

    To reach Everest Base Camp by car, first drive to the town of Lukla from Kathmandu. This journey typically takes about 30 minutes by flight. Once in Lukla, you will need to park your car at a designated parking area. From Lukla, you must embark on a trekking journey. Follow the well-marked trails towards Phakding, then continue on to Namche Bazaar. After a night in Namche, proceed to Tengboche, then to Dingboche, and finally to Gorak Shep. The last leg is a trek from Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp, which takes about 3 hours.
