Car
From Everest Base Camp, you will need to return to the nearest road access point. Start by trekking back to Lukla, which takes approximately 2-3 days of hiking. From Lukla, hire a private jeep or taxi to drive you to Pokhara. The drive from Lukla to Pokhara will take around 8-10 hours. Additionally, you might need to take a flight from Lukla to Kathmandu first, then travel to Pokhara, depending on your preference.
Bus
After reaching Lukla from Everest Base Camp, you can take a bus from Lukla to Kathmandu, which takes around 10-12 hours. From Kathmandu, head to the bus station and take a tourist bus to Pokhara, a journey that takes approximately 6-8 hours. Make sure to book your bus tickets in advance to ensure availability.
Taxi
Once in Pokhara, you can hire a local taxi to take you directly to Ghandruk, the starting point for the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The distance from Pokhara to Ghandruk is about 25 kilometers, and the taxi ride will take approximately 1-2 hours. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
Trekking
From Ghandruk, you will begin your trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Follow the well-marked trails that lead you through beautiful rhododendron forests and charming villages. The trek from Ghandruk to Annapurna Base Camp usually takes about 7-10 days, depending on your pace and chosen itinerary.
