Car
If you are starting from Everest Base Camp, you will first need to travel back to the nearest road accessible point, which is in Lukla. From Everest Base Camp to Lukla, it is recommended to hire a local guide who can assist you with the trek back (approximately 2-3 days). Once in Lukla, you can take a local jeep or bus to Besisahar, which is about a 7-8 hour drive. From Besisahar, you can hire another jeep or take a local bus to Khangsar (which is the last road accessible village before Tilicho Lake), which will take around 2-3 hours. The road is rough, so prepare for a bumpy ride.

Public Transportation
From Everest Base Camp, trek back to Lukla (2-3 days) and then take the first available flight back to Kathmandu. From Kathmandu, you can take a tourist bus to Besisahar (approximately 6-8 hours). After reaching Besisahar, you can find a shared jeep or local bus to Khangsar, which takes about 2-3 hours. Ensure you check the local schedules as they can vary.

From Khangsar, the final leg to the Tilicho Lake View Point requires trekking. The trek from Khangsar to the view point is approximately 5-6 hours, following a well-marked trail.
