If you are starting from Everest Base Camp, you will first need to travel back to the nearest road accessible point, which is in Lukla. From Everest Base Camp to Lukla, it is recommended to hire a local guide who can assist you with the trek back (approximately 2-3 days). Once in Lukla, you can take a local jeep or bus to Besisahar, which is about a 7-8 hour drive. From Besisahar, you can hire another jeep or take a local bus to Khangsar (which is the last road accessible village before Tilicho Lake), which will take around 2-3 hours. The road is rough, so prepare for a bumpy ride.
