Walking
If you are already in Gokyo, you can walk towards the main trail leading up to Gokyo Lakes. Start at the Gokyo village center, which is easily recognizable. Head north on the main path that runs alongside the Gokyo River. Continue on this path for about 20-30 minutes until you reach the first lake, Gokyo Lake (also called Dudh Pokhari). From there, follow the signs that direct you to the subsequent lakes. The walk is scenic and will take you through beautiful landscapes with views of the surrounding mountains.
Trekking
If you are in Gokyo and wish to trek to Gokyo Lakes, you can follow the established trekking routes. Start from Gokyo village and take the path that leads you upward towards the lakes. The trek is well-marked, and you will encounter scenic viewpoints along the way. The first lake is approximately 1 hour away on foot. Make sure to carry water and snacks, as there are limited facilities along the route.
