Note that the last stretch will be on rough, unpaved roads. Parking is limited in Gokyo, so arriving early is advisable. After parking, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 km to reach Gokyo Lake.

To reach Gokyo Lake via public transportation, take a bus from Kathmandu to Lukla. The bus will take you to the domestic airport where you can catch a flight to Lukla. From Lukla, you will need to take a local jeep or trek to Gokyo, which can take about 4-6 hours depending on your pace. Once in Gokyo, Gokyo Lake is a short 1.5 km walk from the village.

If you are already in Gokyo Lakes area, the best way to reach Gokyo Lake is by trekking. Start your trek from Gokyo village, heading towards Gokyo Lake.
