Walking
From the center of Gorkha, head towards the main road leading to Bandipur. Follow the signs towards Bandipur, which is approximately 16 kilometers away. You can either walk along the road or take a local path that leads through the forested areas. The journey will take about 4 to 5 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to carry water and snacks for the hike.
Local Bus
Start at the Gorkha bus station, located near the center of town. Take a local bus that is heading to Bandipur. The buses are frequent, but it’s a good idea to confirm the schedule with locals. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Bandipur, ask for directions to Gurungche Dada; it’s a short walk uphill from the main square.
Bicycle Rental
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Gorkha. Once you have your bicycle, head towards the main road leading to Bandipur. The ride is about 16 kilometers and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. The route is scenic but be prepared for some uphill sections as you approach Bandipur. Upon reaching Bandipur, follow signs to Gurungche Dada.
