Walking
From the center of Gorkha, head towards the Gorkha Durbar Square. Once you reach the square, take the path leading towards the Gorkha Palace. Continue walking along the path, passing through local shops and eateries. After about 20 minutes, you will come to a fork; take the left path that leads towards Palungtar. Follow this road for approximately 30 minutes, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Look for signposts that direct you towards Talpokhari. As you approach Palungtar, you will see a sign indicating Talpokhari. At this point, you may need to ask locals for further directions since the path may become less defined. Continue walking for another 15-20 minutes until you reach Talpokhari.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can take a trekking route from Gorkha. Start from Gorkha Durbar Square and follow the trail towards the hills. The trek takes around 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Follow the trails marked by local trekkers, and be sure to keep the mountains to your right. After climbing for about an hour, you will come across a viewpoint where you can rest and enjoy the scenery. Continue on the trail, which will eventually lead you down towards Palungtar. Upon reaching Palungtar, follow the local roads that lead directly to Talpokhari, which is roughly a 30-minute walk from the main road.
