Car
If you're traveling by car from Gosaikunda, start by heading south towards the Helambu region. The base camp for Ama Yangri Peak is located approximately 12 kilometers from Gosaikunda. Follow the main road that connects Gosaikunda to the Helambu area. This road can be rough and winding, so be cautious while driving. Once you reach the coordinates 2H28+5R, Helambu, you will see signs for Ama Yangri Peak. Parking is available near the trailhead.
Public Transportation
To reach Ama Yangri Peak base camp via public transport from Gosaikunda, you will first need to take a local jeep or bus heading towards Helambu. These vehicles typically depart from the main square in Gosaikunda. The journey can take about 1-2 hours depending on road conditions. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the closest stop to Ama Yangri Peak. After disembarking, you may need to hike for about 30-45 minutes to reach the base camp, following the path that leads to the peak. Ensure you have cash to pay for the jeep/bus fare, which may range from NPR 200-500 depending on the vehicle.
Hiking
For those who prefer to hike, you can start from Gosaikunda directly. The trek to Ama Yangri Peak base camp is about 4-5 hours long and is moderately challenging.
