Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Kathmandu. Drive towards Sundarijal, which is about 15 km from the city. You can take the Araniko Highway and then follow the directions to Sundarijal. From Sundarijal, the road leads to Ghyangphedi. Make sure to have a GPS or a map as the roads can be tricky. Once you reach Ghyangphedi, you can park your car and prepare for the trek to Lauribina Pass.
Public Transportation
From Kathmandu, take a local bus or microbus to Sundarijal. The bus fare is approximately NPR 50 to NPR 100. Once you arrive at Sundarijal, you can hire a local jeep or take a shared vehicle to Ghyangphedi, which typically costs around NPR 300 to NPR 500 per person. Upon reaching Ghyangphedi, you will need to start your trek towards Lauribina Pass. The trek is well-marked and can take about 4 to 5 hours depending on your pace.
Trekking
After arriving in Ghyangphedi, begin your trek to Lauribina Pass. The trail is steep and ascends through beautiful forested areas. Follow the signs leading to Lauribina Pass. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks for the trek, as there are limited facilities along the way. The pass is at an elevation of approximately 4610 meters, so be prepared for altitude changes. The trek should take around 4 to 5 hours from Ghyangphedi to reach the pass.
