If you are traveling by car, start from Kathmandu and head towards Sindhupalchowk district on the Arniko Highway. After about 65 km, turn off towards the village of Melamchi. Continue on this road for approximately 20 km until you reach Dandagaun. The Mailung Waterfall is located on an unnamed road in Dandagaun. Follow local signs or ask a local for the exact turn-off to the waterfall. Ensure your vehicle has a good clearance as the road can be rough in parts.

To reach Mailung Waterfall via public transportation, take a bus from Kathmandu to Melamchi. Buses leave regularly from the bus park in Kathmandu. The fare is about NPR 300-500 depending on the bus service. Once you arrive in Melamchi, you can take a local jeep or a shared taxi to Dandagaun, which should cost around NPR 150-300. Upon reaching Dandagaun, ask locals for directions to Mailung Waterfall, which is a short walk away.
