Getting There

• Bus from Kathmandu to Taplejung

• Jeep from Taplejung to Suketar

  Upon arriving in Taplejung, you will need to take a local jeep to Suketar, which is the nearest airstrip and trekking point. The jeep ride takes approximately 1-2 hours, and you can find jeeps near the bus station. The cost is around NPR 500 to NPR 700 per person.

• Trekking from Suketar to Kanchenjunga Base Camp

  From Suketar, the trek to Kanchenjunga Base Camp will take approximately 10-12 days, depending on your trekking pace and the chosen route. Follow the marked trails through local villages like Phale, Chhirwa, and Lelep, ensuring you have a local guide or a detailed map.
