Getting There

Car
From Kanchenjunga Base Camp, you will first need to drive to the nearest major town, which is Taplejung. The drive will take approximately 6-8 hours depending on road conditions. From Taplejung, head to the district headquarter of Phidim. This part of the drive will take about 4 hours. Once you reach Phidim, you can hire a jeep or take local transportation to the trailhead at Num, which is about 2 hours away. Make sure to check for any required permits before starting your trek.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Kanchenjunga Base Camp to Taplejung. The bus ride will take around 6-8 hours. Once in Taplejung, switch to a local bus or jeep heading towards Phidim. After reaching Phidim, take a local jeep or bus to Num, which will take about 2 hours. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they can vary.

Trekking
Once you reach Num, the Tsum Valley Trek begins. The trek from Num to the Tsum Valley will typically take several days, depending on your pace and the route you choose. Ensure you have a map and a local guide if possible, as the trails can be complex. You will need to arrange for accommodation along the way, which can typically be found in local tea houses.
