Follow the signs directing you to Ghunsa. Once you reach the village, ask the locals for directions to the nearest road that connects to the larger trails heading westward towards Kathmandu. This is a scenic route with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

After reaching Ghunsa, look for a local bus heading towards Taplejung. Buses generally operate at intervals throughout the day, but it’s advisable to check the schedule in advance. The journey to Taplejung takes approximately 3-4 hours. Once you arrive at Taplejung, you can take a shared jeep or taxi to the nearest city with regular transport services to Kathmandu.
