Car
To reach Chitlang from Kathmandu by car, start your journey from Naya Sadak in Kathmandu. Head south on the Ring Road towards Balkhu and continue straight until you reach the Naikap junction. Take the left turn towards Kirtipur and follow the road until you reach the Kirtipur municipality. From Kirtipur, follow the signs leading to Chitlang, which is about a 1-2 hour drive depending on traffic. The road is a mix of paved and unpaved, so drive carefully. Upon reaching Chitlang, you can park at designated areas near the tourist sites.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To travel to Chitlang using public transportation, start at the Ratna Park Bus Station in Kathmandu. Look for a bus heading towards Kirtipur. The fare is approximately NPR 20-30. Once you arrive in Kirtipur, you will need to switch to a local microbus or a taxi to reach Chitlang. Local microbuses frequently run to Chitlang, and the fare will be around NPR 50-100.
