Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Kathmandu. Head south towards the Bagmati River and take a right turn onto Sundhara Rd. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see Dharahara Tower on your left. Look for parking near the entrance, but be aware that parking may be limited in this area.
Public Transportation (Bus)
For public transport, take a local bus heading towards Ratna Park or Bhaktapur. Most buses pass through the main streets of Kathmandu. Once you reach Ratna Park, get off and walk towards Sundhara Rd, which is a short distance away. Follow Sundhara Rd for about 500 meters until you see Dharahara Tower on your left. Make sure to check the bus schedule and fare, which typically ranges from NPR 20 to NPR 50.
Taxi
You can also take a taxi to reach Dharahara Tower. Simply ask the driver to take you to Sundhara Rd. The fare from the Thamel area should be around NPR 300 to NPR 500, depending on traffic. The driver should know the location as it is a well-known landmark.
Walking (from nearby areas)
If you are staying nearby, you can walk to Dharahara Tower. From Thamel, head south towards the Bagmati River and follow the road signs to Sundhara Rd. It is approximately a 20-minute walk. As you approach, keep an eye out for the tower, which is a prominent feature of the skyline.
