If you are driving from the center of Kathmandu, take Ring Road and head towards Patan. Continue on the Ring Road until you reach the Sunakothi area. Look for signs directing you towards Jainkhel Rd. Drive along Jainkhel Rd until you reach the Jainkhel View Point, which is located at GPS coordinates 27.636443, 85.3247605. There is typically free parking available near the viewpoint.

From the center of Kathmandu, take a local bus headed towards Lagankhel. The fare is usually around NPR 30-50. Once you arrive at Lagankhel, switch to a microbus or a local taxi that goes to Sunakothi. The fare for the microbus is approximately NPR 20-30. Inform the driver you want to go to Jainkhel View Point. After getting off, it's a short walk up Jainkhel Rd to the viewpoint, approximately 1 km uphill.
