Car
If you are driving to the Narayanhiti Royal Palace, start from Thamel, a popular tourist area. Head east on Tridevi Marg and turn left onto the Ring Road. Continue on the Ring Road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the New Baneshwor area. From there, take the exit towards Narayanhiti Path. Follow the signs to Narayanhiti Path, and you will find the palace on your left. There is parking available nearby.

To reach Narayanhiti Royal Palace by public transportation, you can take a microbus or a local bus from Thamel. Head to the bus stop near the Tourist Bus Park and board a bus heading towards Ratna Park or New Baneshwor. The fare is quite affordable, typically around 20-30 NPR. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Narayanhiti Path. Once you arrive at the Narayanhiti Path stop, walk a short distance towards the palace, which will be on your left.

For a more comfortable journey, consider taking a taxi from your location in Kathmandu Valley. Simply ask the taxi driver to take you to Narayanhiti Royal Palace, and they will know the way. The ride from Thamel should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure to agree on a fare beforehand or use the meter if available.

If you are staying nearby, you can also walk to Narayanhiti Royal Palace. From Thamel, head east towards Tridevi Marg and continue straight until you reach the Ring Road. Cross the road and continue straight on Narayanhiti Path. The palace will be a short walk ahead on your left. Walking time from Thamel is approximately 30-40 minutes.
