Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Kathmandu. Head south towards the Ring Road and take the exit towards Godawari. Follow the Godawari road for approximately 8 kilometers, keeping an eye out for signs indicating 'Godawari 44709'. As you approach Godawari, look for the turn-off towards Kot Danda. The road may narrow and become a bit bumpy, but continue uphill for about 1-2 kilometers. You will eventually reach a viewpoint area known as Kot Danda, where you can park your vehicle.
Public Transportation
To reach Kot Danda by public transportation, start by taking a microbus or local bus from Kathmandu to Godawari. Buses to Godawari can be boarded from various points in Kathmandu, particularly at Ratna Park or Lagankhel. The fare is typically around NPR 50-100. Once you reach Godawari, you can either hire a local taxi (costing approximately NPR 300-500) to take you up to Kot Danda or walk approximately 3 kilometers uphill. The walk is steep but offers beautiful views along the way.

The taxi fare will vary based on your starting point but expect to pay around NPR 1500-2500 depending on traffic and distance. The driver will likely know the best route, but you can specify Godawari as your destination to ensure they take you to the right area.
