Walking
From Thamel, head east on the main road towards Durbar Square. Continue walking until you reach the Ratna Park area, where you will find a bus station. Take a microbus or local bus heading to Bhaktapur. Inform the conductor to drop you off at Suryabinayak. Once you arrive in Suryabinayak, walk towards Suryebinayak - Doleswor Rd. The Doleshwar Mahadev Temple is located just a short walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs towards the temple, which is approximately 500 meters away.

Public Transport
Start at the Kathmandu Durbar Square area and locate the nearest 'siti' or local taxi stand. Take a taxi to the Suryabinayak Bus Park. Once there, look for a microbus or local bus heading towards Bhaktapur. When you get off at Suryabinayak, head towards Suryebinayak - Doleswor Rd, which is just a few minutes walk from the bus stop. The temple will be clearly marked and is about 500 meters ahead.

If you have rented a bicycle, head towards the Ring Road and follow it east. You will pass several landmarks. Keep an eye out for the sign for Bhaktapur and turn left at the Suryabinayak junction. Continue straight until you see the Doleshwar Mahadev Temple on your right. There are designated bike lanes along the route, and the temple is located about 3 kilometers from the Ring Road junction.
