Spiritual Nature and Respect Required.

This tour has two very distinct parts. The first part (Pashupatinath) is intended for those who have a spiritual nature. The events unfolding in and around this temple are not meant for children or those seeking a 'good-time'. This location is where families come to celebrate and cremate their family members. This tour sees people in the midst of their grief and need only be visited by those who can show compassion and respect. The second part of the tour is a lovely walk around Boudhanath and dinner at a local restaurant. The food was very tasty, and the beer, which was not included, was too large to finish. Shanti, my guide, was very knowledgeable and very helpful in helping me to understand the dynamics at both locations. My advise to the tour company would be to provide additional detail regarding what happens at each location. Nothing in the booking information gives the client an indication that they are about to see live cremation ceremonies. Overall, I enjoyed the tour; however, would not recommend it for everyone.

The people involved in the running of this experience really understood customer service and they did all they could to support us and the rest of the group in multiple languages. It’s a cheap price for a six hour tour and the place to eat was amazing. Be aware entrance to the sites and food is not included but it is very cheap and still makes this a very affordable experience

I was very excited about Bajey's tour, and I would really recommend it if you would like to know a lot about Nepal's culture and Hinduism. I really liked that he had a lot to say and had answers to all our questions. You noticed very clearly that he knew a lot about what he was telling. I also liked that he paid close attention to the fact that the whole group was still there after, for example, a busy crossing. There was also a moment when I didn’t want to join the tour because I found the cremations too intense to see, but I wanted to hear the information he told the rest, then he later went back to tell me in person what he had told the rest before. I really liked that. I would definitely take another tour of Bajey:)
