Walking
If you are starting from Thamel, head east on Tridevi Marg. Walk straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the main junction at Ratna Park. From Ratna Park, take a left at the traffic signal onto the Pradarshani Marg. Continue straight for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the entrance of Shivapuri National Park. From here, follow the signs to Sundarijal. The path leads you through beautiful landscapes, and after about 30-45 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the Sundarijal Waterfall.
Public Bus
From Thamel, walk to the nearest bus station, which is around 10 minutes away at Sundhara. Look for a bus heading to 'Sundarijal'. It might take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach the Sundarijal bus stop, follow the signs to Sundarijal Waterfall. You will need to walk approximately 20-30 minutes from the bus stop to reach the waterfall.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location in Kathmandu. Simply ask the driver to take you to Sundarijal. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Sundarijal, follow the signs to the waterfall, which is about a 20-minute walk from the drop-off point.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Thamel. Start by heading east on Tridevi Marg and then turn left onto Pradarshani Marg. Continue towards Shivapuri National Park. Biking will allow you to cover the distance faster, but be cautious of the traffic. Once you reach the entrance to Shivapuri National Park, park your bicycle and follow the walking path to Sundarijal Waterfall, which is about a 30-minute walk from there.
