From Thamel, walk to the Pradarshani Marg bus stop. Take a bus heading towards Bhaktapur. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Suryabinayak. It should take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you get off at Suryabinayak, you will see the entrance to the area nearby.
Microbus
From the Ratna Park area, find a microbus bound for Bhaktapur. Board the microbus and tell the driver you want to go to Suryabinayak. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Get off when you see the Suryabinayak signage or when you reach the main area.
Cycle Rickshaw
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a cycle rickshaw from your location in Kathmandu. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 500-800 NPR. The rickshaw will take you directly to Suryabinayak, and the ride will take approximately 25-35 minutes depending on traffic.

If you are staying close to Suryabinayak, you can walk from the nearby areas. Make your way towards Bhaktapur, following the main road. Look for signs leading to Suryabinayak. It will take you about 1-1.5 hours to walk from the Bhaktapur Durbar Square to Suryabinayak.
