From Biratnagar, head east towards the Koshi Highway (H08). Follow the highway for about 80 km until you reach the town of Kakarbhitta. From Kakarbhitta, take the road towards the border town of Panitanki. After crossing the border into India, continue on the road for approximately 20 km until you reach Uttarey. The Tenzing Hillary Memorial Park is located in Uttarey, Sikkim, at coordinates 27.2605906, 88.0949609. Look for signs directing you to the park as you enter the town.

From Biratnagar, take a local bus or shared jeep to Kakarbhitta. Buses leave frequently throughout the day. Upon arrival at Kakarbhitta, you will need to cross the border into India at the Panitanki checkpoint. After crossing, you can either hire a taxi or take a local bus heading to Uttarey. The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes and may cost around 500-700 INR. If you take a bus, it could take longer but is a more economical option.
