Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Lumbini. Head north on the Siddhartha Highway (also known as the Lumbini - Siddharthanagar Road) towards the town of Siddharthanagar. Follow the highway for approximately 12 kilometers. Once you reach Siddharthanagar, take a left turn at the intersection towards Khungai. Continue on this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach Khungai. Make sure to use a GPS or a map application to navigate accurately, as some roads can be less marked.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Lumbini to Siddharthanagar. Buses frequently leave from the Lumbini bus station and the fare is typically around NPR 50-100. Once you arrive in Siddharthanagar, look for local microbuses or shared taxis that head towards Khungai. The fare for these rides is usually around NPR 30-50. Ensure you confirm with the driver that they are heading to Khungai, as not all vehicles may go to your destination.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Siddharthanagar to Khungai after taking a bus, you can do so. After arriving in Siddharthanagar, head northeast and follow the main road towards Khungai. The distance is about 5 kilometers, and it will take you approximately 1-1.5 hours to walk. Be mindful of traffic and road conditions, as this route may have limited pedestrian pathways.
