    Car

    If you're traveling by car within the Mahakali Zone, head towards the town of Darchula. From Darchula, take the road towards Khalanga. The journey will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on road conditions. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for hilly terrain. After reaching Khalanga, you will need to park your car and continue your journey on foot or by hiring a local jeep to take you closer to Khaptad National Park.

    Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from Dhangadhi to Darchula. Buses leave regularly from the Dhangadhi bus park and the trip takes about 7-8 hours. Once in Darchula, you can hire a local jeep to take you towards Khaptad National Park. The jeep ride will take approximately 2-3 hours, and costs around NPR 2000-3000 per person depending on the number of passengers and negotiation skills. Ensure you discuss the return trip with the driver.

    Trekking
