Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Dhangadhi, head east on the Mahakali Highway (H08) for approximately 80 kilometers. Follow the signs towards Attariya. Once you reach Attariya, look for the local signs indicating Khanidanda, which is located at the coordinates XJ3C+Q5. The last few kilometers will be on local roads which may be narrower and less maintained. Ensure to use a GPS or map app for accurate navigation.

Public Transportation

From Dhangadhi, take a local bus or microbus heading to Attariya. The fare is generally around NPR 150-200. The journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive at the Attariya bus station, you can hire a local taxi or a rickshaw for about NPR 50-100 to take you to Khanidanda, which is approximately 5 kilometers away from the station. Make sure to specify 'Khanidanda' to the driver to avoid any confusion.

Walking from Attariya

If you prefer to walk from Attariya, it is a 5-kilometer trek to Khanidanda. Start from the Attariya bus station and head towards the east, following the main road. This route will take you through local neighborhoods and provide a glimpse of everyday life in the area. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the walk can take about 1 to 1.5 hours.
