From Makalu Base Camp, you will first need to arrange a vehicle to take you to the nearest major town, which is Tumlingtar. The journey takes about 4-5 hours. Once you reach Tumlingtar, you can either rent a jeep or take a local bus to reach Namobuddha Monastery. The drive from Tumlingtar to Namobuddha takes approximately 7-8 hours. Make sure to follow the road signs towards Simalchaur and then to Namobuddha Road.

After your trek to Makalu Base Camp, you will need to return to Tumlingtar. From Tumlingtar, look for a local bus heading towards Kathmandu. You will need to get off at a place called Dhulikhel. From Dhulikhel, you can take a local taxi or a bus to reach Namobuddha Monastery, which is about a 20-30 minute drive. You can expect to pay around 200 NPR for the bus fare from Tumlingtar to Dhulikhel.
