After reaching Tumlingtar, you can catch a local bus or jeep that goes to Khandbari. The bus service is infrequent, so it's advisable to check the schedule ahead of time. The journey to Khandbari will take about 2-3 hours and costs around NPR 200-300. Once in Khandbari, you can either take another vehicle to get to the nearest major city or find accommodation for the night.

If you're looking to extend your adventure, you can trek back from Makalu Base Camp to the nearest town, which is Num. This trek takes approximately 3-4 days depending on your pace.
