Car
From Kathmandu, take a private car or taxi to Arughat, which is approximately 6-7 hours away. You will drive through scenic hills and rural landscapes. Once you reach Arughat, you can park your vehicle in a designated area. From Arughat, you need to continue your journey on foot or hire a local guide with a jeep to reach Samagaun. The jeep ride will take about 3-4 hours and costs around NPR 3000-4000 per person, depending on the number of passengers.
Public Transportation
Start your journey from Kathmandu by taking a local bus or tourist bus to Arughat, which takes around 7-9 hours. Buses leave early in the morning from the Gongabu Bus Park. The cost is approximately NPR 700-1000. Once in Arughat, you can either hike to Samagaun (which will take about 6-8 hours) or hire a local jeep that costs about NPR 3000-4000 per person, depending on the number of passengers. The jeep ride will take around 3-4 hours.
Trekking
If you are trekking from Arughat to Samagaun, begin your hike from Arughat following the trail along the Budhi Gandaki River. It is a scenic route with beautiful views, and you will pass through several small villages. The trek will take about 6-8 hours, and you should be prepared with sufficient food and water, as there are limited shops along the trail.
