Seasouli Ghat: A Serene Escape by the River

Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Arughat, which is a common base for the Manaslu Circuit. From Arughat, head towards Soti Khola. The road is generally well-marked, and it will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Soti Khola. Once you arrive at Soti Khola, continue on the road leading up to Machha Khola, which will take another hour, depending on road conditions. From Machha Khola, you will need to take a local jeep or taxi to reach the Seasouli Ghat. This drive will take about 30 minutes and cost around NPR 300-500 depending on the vehicle and number of passengers.

• Public Transportation

  For those opting for public transportation, take a local bus or jeep from Kathmandu to Arughat. The journey takes around 7-8 hours and costs approximately NPR 800-1500. Once you reach Arughat, follow the same route as above to Soti Khola and Machha Khola. From Machha Khola, you can find local jeeps or shared taxis heading toward Seasouli Ghat for about NPR 300-500. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they can vary.

• Trekking

  If you are already trekking the Manaslu Circuit, you can reach Seasouli Ghat by continuing your hike from Machha Khola. The trek takes about 1-2 hours on foot, with clear trails leading you through the scenic landscapes. Ensure you have a local guide or map, as the trails can be confusing. This option is free of extra cost but requires physical endurance and proper trekking gear.
