If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Mechi Zone. Navigate towards the east on the Mechi Highway (also known as the Bhadrapur-Ilam Road). After approximately 12 kilometers, take a left turn onto Domukha Road. Continue on this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the Domukha Barrage, which will be on your left. There is no entry fee to access the barrage, but ensure your vehicle is in good condition as the road can be bumpy.

To reach Domukha Barrage using public transportation, head to the local bus station in Bhadrapur or any nearby town in Mechi Zone. Look for buses heading towards Danabari or the surrounding areas. The bus fare is typically around 50-100 NPR depending on your starting point. After arriving at Danabari, you can take a local taxi or a motorbike (usually costing around 200-300 NPR) for the remaining 3 kilometers to the barrage. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they know the Domukha Barrage location.

If you are already in the vicinity of Danabari, you can opt to walk to Domukha Barrage. From the center of Danabari, head east on Domukha Road. It's approximately a 30-minute walk of about 2.5 kilometers. The road is fairly straightforward, and you will see signs directing you towards the barrage.
