Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the city center of Bhadrapur. Head east on the Bhadrapur-Kankai Road (also known as the Mechi Highway). Continue for approximately 12 kilometers. You will pass through the town of Kankai. Once you reach Kankai, follow the signs leading to Surunga. After entering Surunga, look for the Unnamed Road that leads towards Jamunkhadi simsar. The destination's coordinates are approximately 26.6527° N, 87.9137° E. You may need to ask locals for guidance as the road might not be marked clearly. Parking is available nearby.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Jamunkhadi simsar using public transportation, start at the Bhadrapur Bus Park. Take a local bus heading towards Kankai. The fare is usually around NPR 30-50. Once you arrive in Kankai, you can either take a rickshaw or walk to Surunga. The distance from Kankai to Surunga is about 6 kilometers. If you choose to walk, it will take approximately 1.5 hours. If you opt for a rickshaw, the fare will be around NPR 150-200. Upon reaching Surunga, ask locals for directions to the Unnamed Road leading to Jamunkhadi simsar.

• Rickshaw

  If you are already in Kankai and prefer a quicker route, you can hire a rickshaw directly to Jamunkhadi simsar. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it should be around NPR 200-300. The rickshaw will take you through local roads, and the driver should be familiar with the location. The ride should take about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
