Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Jomsom, the administrative center of Mustang. Head southwest on the Jomsom- Kagbeni road. Continue for about 16 kilometers until you reach the junction near Kagbeni. Take the right fork towards Muktinath. After approximately 25 kilometers, you will see signs directing you towards Baraha Lake Bhakunde. The drive will take around 2 hours, depending on road conditions. Parking is available near the lake.

Public Transportation
To reach Baraha Lake Bhakunde via public transportation, take a local bus or jeep from Jomsom to Kagbeni. Buses typically leave every hour and the fare is around NPR 200. The journey takes about 30 minutes. From Kagbeni, you can hire a local jeep or a shared taxi to reach Bhakunde. This leg of the trip will take about 45 minutes and cost around NPR 500 per person. After reaching Bhakunde, follow the signs to Baraha Lake, which is a short walk from the town.

For the more adventurous, consider trekking to Baraha Lake from Kagbeni. The trek is approximately 6 kilometers and will take around 2 to 3 hours depending on your pace. Follow the trail from Kagbeni that leads towards the lake, enjoying the scenic views of the surrounding mountains. Make sure to carry sufficient water and snacks for the journey.
